The most common type of washer repair is for loud sounds coming out of the machine. Hall Appliance Repair can troubleshoot the cause of the loud sound and decide if we should repair or replace the broken appliance parts in the washing machine. The source of the noise is typically due to a worn-down pump motor or worn-out bearings or belt.
When your washing machine does not turn on, take a look to see if it is unplugged or if a circuit breaker flipped off. The issue could also be due to a broken latch, timer or thermal fuse. A washing machine that won’t agitate means the agitator cogs, coupler, drive belt or the transmission need repair or replacement.
A washing machine that doesn’t spin means there’s something wrong with the door latch, wax motor or motor coupling. We will repair these issues quickly and have your washing machine spinning again very soon!
The typical reasons for a washing machine overflowing is the water level pressure switch, water inlet valve or the air dome tube on the machine.
A broken temperature control switch or inlet hose is usually the reason why a washing machine does not produce cold or hot water.
A very typical dryer issue is strange sounds coming from the appliance. Broken bearings, seals or worn-down belts can lead to strange sounds from clothes dryers.
A clothes dryer that does not create enough heat to dry clothes won’t be very helpful. The source of the issue is either a broken heating element, high limit thermostat or cycling thermostat. The same parts sometimes cause a dryer to be too hot. Our repairman will troubleshoot the dryer to uncover the issue and solution.
When your dryer will not turn on, you first will want to be positive the dryer is not unplugged and all of the circuit breakers are on. If the machine isn’t unplugged and still does not start or tumble, the heating element, high limit thermostat or cycling thermostat will likely have to be repaired or replaced.
The exact opposite problem is if the dryer will not turn off. The cause of this particular issue is usually either a broken timer or door switch.
A dryer timer must advance in order to complete the cycle. If the timer does not advance, it could mean there is a broken cycling thermostat or timer motor.
